International programmes
One of the University’s special features are the international oriented academic programmes that prepare students for professions in an international environment. In some subjects, students are awarded French university degrees. In addition, there are a large number of integrated degree programmes which allow students to spend one part of their studies at an international partner university and complete their studies with degrees from both universities.

Accredited study programmes
Saarland University was one of the first universities in Germany to achieve Quality Assurance Accreditation and has held the Accreditation Council's official quality mark continuously since 2012.
