International staff mobility programmes
Members of Saarland University's academic staff regularly spend periods abroad during which they collaborate with international colleagues, pursue research work in specialist labs, libraries or archives and take part in conferences. By spending time at universities abroad, our teaching and research staff often add a European perspective to the host institution. For students at the host university who are unable to study abroad, having access to researchers and scholars from Saarland University can offer new insights and new approaches to their subject.
Members of non-academic staff at Saarland University, for example those working in central, faculty or departmental administrative facilities, in libraries or in technology transfer, can also benefit from the Erasmus+ mobility programmes. Non-academic staff can undertake training and professional development activities (work shadowing, seminars, workshops, language courses, etc.) at a foreign host university to acquire new skills, strengthen existing ones and support Saarland University's internationalization objectives.
