State-supervised examination
'Staatsexamen' is a form of examination, not an academic degree such as Bachelor or Master. The contents, requirements and examinations are based on regulations set by the state. The standard period of study for these courses of study is between eight and twelve semesters. Saarland University offers the following courses of study with state examinations:
