International Deans' Course Latin America

Together with the University of Alicante, Saarland University coordinates the International Deans' Course Latin America. The Deans' Course is integrated into the DIES programme of the German Academic Exchange Service and the German Rectors' Conference. DIES supports universities in developing and emerging countries in professionalising institutional management processes and improving the quality of study programmes.

The International Deans' Course Latin America brings together recently appointed deans and vice-deans of universities in Central and South America and helps prepare them for their new tasks. Topics such as strategic faculty development, financial management, quality management and internationalisation play a role as well as the acquisition of necessary soft skills.
