Team 2019

In the 2019's edition of the FDI International Arbitration Moot, the Team from Saarland University / the Europainstitut participated for the first time in the competition. 
The Team Members of the 2019's edition were: 

 

  • Andrés Eduardo Alvarado Garzón (Colombia): LLM 2016/2017
  • Angshuman Hazarika (India): LLM 2015/2016
  • Tariere Richards (Nigeria): LLM 2018/2019
  • Vishakha Choudhary (India): LLM 2018/2019

The Team was supervised by Prof. Dr. Marc Bungenberg,Director of the Europa-Institut and Dr. Greg Lourie,  Associate at Cleary Gottlieb Steen Hamilton LLP, Paris. 

 

After having the opportunity to attend practice pleadings in Paris, Frankfurt, Köln, Budapest and Warsaw, the Team Members travelled together with their coach Dr. Greg Lourie to attend the global rounds of the competition, which took place at the University of Miami School of Law. 

 

 

 

After working intensively during the written and oral phases of the competition, the Team of Saarland University / the Europa-Institut achieved the following results: 

 

The Team was the 2nd highest ranked Team from the combined oral and written phase. 

The Team achieved the 2nd ranked Respondent Memorial. 

Finally, one of the speakers (Ms. Vishakha Choudhary) obtained an honourable mention for her oral advocacy during the competition.
