Target groupStudents of all faculties with German knowledge
Language levelsfrom A2 to C1, in three groups

It is not possible to apply for a specific language level. The levels of the courses held always depend on the level of knowledge of the respective course participants. Placement in the groups is made according to the results of our placement test.
ContentsBasic level (from A2) and intermediate level: verbs with prepositions, subjunctive II, subordinate clauses, converting subordinate clauses into prepositional expressions, relative clauses, active-passive, etc.

Upper level (from B2/C1): Nominalisation-verbalisation, prepositions, use of modal verbs, relative clauses-participial attributes, subjunctive I-II + indirect speech, syntax, active-passive, functional verb structures, etc.
Extent of lessons1 x 2 teaching units per week
Schedule

1x per week in the afternoon or evening.

The teaching days and times depend on the course.

Course feeFor UdS students (incl. students in exchange programmes, e.g. ERASMUS+), doctoral students and postdocs of the UdS free of charge, teaching materials not included.
All other participants pay per course 60 Euros / Semester. Teaching materials not included.

RegistrationRegistration is only possible within the specified registration period via the online registration form on our website. To do so, please check the desired semester in the semester courses. Registrations by e-mail will not be accepted.
Placement testYes. All applicants must take a placement test (online!) within a certain period of time. For dates, see the semester courses in the desired semester.
