At Saarland University, thirteen junior professorships with tenure track are funded in the WISNA programme. Further information on the junior professorships can be found on the following page.

Saarland University is pursuing the further development of academic qualification and career paths initiated by the WISNA programme in a comprehensive manner. In its programme ‘Sharpening Profiles - Strengthening Competencies - Promoting Careers’, all academic qualification paths, accompanying measures for personnel development and career support are systematically presented and developed. To improve career paths beyond the professorship, the ‘management track’ was created, which is used to fill academic staff positions in a similar way to the tenure track.

The funding programmes I-Q-WISNA (for junior professorships (with and without tenure track) and executive track positions) and PROWIS-Science-Net (for other postdoctoral researchers) were also established.
