Invitation to apply for the Female@Tech Scholarship Program

Are you a university student pursuing technical studies and looking for career development opportunities? The Female@Tech Scholarship Program is designed to support and empower women like you to thrive in STEM education and build successful careers.

This program, launched by Deutsche Telekom IT (DT IT), aims to address gender inequalities in technology, promote diversity, equality, and innovation, while building a stronger talent pipeline for the future.

Open for up to 10 women in technical studies, the program will start in the summer semester (March/April) of 2025 and support the last 1,5 to 2 years of a Bachelor’s or a Master’s study.


Benefits of the Scholarship Program
Financial support: Receive a monthly grant of €300 and a €50 literature allowance.
Telekom products: Receive a T-Phone 2 Pro and a T-Tablet to support your studies.
Internship: Complete a mandatory internship in Germany during one of the semester breaks.
Thesis: Receive potential support for your Bachelor’s or Master’s thesis from DT IT experts, subject to their availability.
Networking: Participate in yearly events with other scholarship holders and experts from DT IT, and benefit from a mentoring program with experienced professionals.


Who can apply?
Female university students
• enrolled in the last three to four semesters of their Master or Bachelor study.
• studying in Bamberg, Berlin, Bonn, Darmstadt, Hamburg, Leipzig, Münster, and Saarbrücken.
• pursuing degrees in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related technical fields. 

 

Application process
The application process consists of up to 3 steps:

  1. Submit your application including your CV as well as a maximum 3-minute motivational video answering the following four questions: Why did you choose your current field of study? Which new technologies or trends in your field of expertise are you particularly interested in and why? Why did you apply for this scholarship? How do you envisage your career start after graduation (industry, role)?
  2. If you’re selected to advance, you will be invited to complete an online assessment.
  3. If you’re selected to advance to the final round, you will be invited to an online interview by our committee of experts.

Application period: January 13th – February 9th, 2025
Selection period: February 10th – March 5th, 2025
Note: Please block some time in the second half of February to conduct the online assessment as well as interview
in case you are selected.

Responsibilities of Scholarship Holders
• Provide proof of university enrollment.
• Successfully complete your university courses or programs within the funding period.
• Notify the scholarship provider of any changes in your circumstances that may affect your eligibility or participation in the program.
• Conduct at least one internship at Deutsche Telekom AG and attend scholarship events organized by Deutsche Telekom IT.
• Attend DT IT organized events to engage with mentors and other scholarship holders to build a strong, supportive network.
• Participate in evaluations or surveys conducted by Deutsche Telekom IT to help assess the program’s effectiveness.
