Mass Spectrometry
The Mass Spectrometry Core Facility provides bioanalytical methods, particularly OMICS analyses (small molecules, peptides, proteins), and continuously develops and establishes new techniques. The Facility is equipped with an array of mass spectrometers, including Orbitrap Eclipse, Q Exactive Plus, and timsTOF with (nano)-LC coupling. As a service, it offers both untargeted and targeted methods for the identification of small molecules, proteins, and peptides, as well as determinations of post-translational modifications and quantifications are offered. The expert team provides comprehensive consultation on experimental design, execution, and interpretation of mass spectrometric data, in addition to offering support for bioinformatics analysis. Additionally, assistance with third-party funding applications is available.
Interested groups should schedule a project discussion appointment with the responsible scientific staff (see contact information).
The Mass Spectrometry Core Facility is available to all members of Saarland University as well as external researchers and institutions, subject to the terms of use.
