The Ott group conducts research in the field of biological physics. We use experimental, statistical-physical methods to describe selected, biological systems.

Research topics are:

  • Mechanical properties of cells
  • Molecular recognition and in vitro expression
  • Structure formation in driven chemical mixtures

In particular, we use optical techniques as well as mass spectroscopy
