The August-Wilhelm Scheer Graduate Centre
Since June 2015, Saarland University has had its August-Wilhelm Scheer Graduate Centre (Building C9 3) on the Saarbrücken campus, which is quiet and somewhat off campus, but can still be reached in a short time. The construction of the building complex (new building and renovation of the former Jägerheim) was made possible by a donation of millions from August-Wilhelm Scheer, entrepreneur and professor at Saarland University.
In the August-Wilhelm Scheer Graduate Centre, located on the edge of the forest, both young scientists and university lecturers at Saarland University can hold their own events in an idyllic atmosphere. In addition to the new conference building, the Graduate Centre also offers thirty individual workstations for young researchers in the renovated old building.
The activities at the August-Wilhelm Scheer Graduate Centre are coordinated by Saarland University's Graduate Programme (GradUS) with support from various structured doctoral programmes and Triathlon Transfer GmbH.
