Semester travel ticket

The UdS Card bears the logo of the local public transport service operator 'SaarVV' as a visible sign that the fee for the semester travel ticket has been paid.

In the event that the General Student Committee (AStA) has granted an exemption from the semester travel ticket fee and if the fee is paid back, the SaarVV logo must be removed for the respective semester. The logo will be removed by the AStA once the exemption is granted. The entire printing on the card will be deleted in the AStA office (on campus Homburg, please refer to the card issuing office at the Studierendenwerk (Saarland Student Services)) and a blocking notice will be set to prevent the logo from being printed on the card for the respective semester when re-validating the card at one of the terminals afterwards.

If you are no longer entitled to an exemption or, if you are a student on Homburg campus, if the exemption decision is not confirmed by the responsible AStA office in Saarbrücken, the said offices remove the blocking notice and the card regains its original validity as a semester ticket and can be fully validated again.
