On campus

One of the main functions of the university ID card is its use for entry control. If a person is authorized to park on campus, the respective information is stored in the access control system based on the card number; it is not stored on the card itself. The authorization to park on campus is therefore independent of the type of card; i.e. it is not necessary to purchase special or additional chip cards to be allowed to park on campus. The barrier at the main campus entrance is permanently staffed.
