Preparing your stay
FAQ:
Studying at the partner university is free of charge if you participate the Erasmus+ exchange programme, and there is a monthly financial allowance. Please check the website of the International Office of Saarland University for further information on funding.
Please find the conditions for participation in Erasmus+ on the website of the International Office of Saarland University.
We are here to help. You may want to consider making an official request to the Student Administration Office to temporarily suspend your registration with UdS for the duration of your stay abroad. This will prevent your study account from filling up too quickly.
The International Office of Saarland University will give you further information about insurance, official suspension of your registration with Saarland University and other required formal steps.
Some of our partner universities offer language training. There are intensive courses before the official start of the respective academic year and also classes that flank the study programme. The programme of your partner university will specify which classes are free of charge for Erasmus+ students. You would have to bear the cost of any language class that is not free of charge. Some partner universities have compulsory language classes for Erasmus+ students.
