Internationale Tagung: "Die Europäische Staatsanwaltschaft als Motor für Wandlungsprozesse im europäischen 'Raum der Freiheit, der Sicherheit und des Rechts'"
Das 3. Exzellenzlabor Europa fand vom 16. bis 19. Oktober 2023 als internationale Tagung in der Villa Vigoni statt und wurde von Prof. Dr. Dominik Brodowski organisiert.
Auf der Tagung wurde die Rolle der neuen Europäischen Staatsanwaltschaft (EUStA) im europäischen „Raum der Freiheit, der Sicherheit und des Rechts“ (Artikel 3 Absatz 2 Vertrag über die Europäische Union [EUV]) analysiert und ihre weitere Entwicklung im Hinblick auf folgende Fragestellungen erörtert: Ist die EUStA ein Wächter über gemeinsame europäische Werte, insbesondere der Rechtsstaatlichkeit, und damit ein Eckpfeiler der europäischen Integration? Welchen Einfluss hat die EUStA und ihre Fortentwicklung auf die Zukunft des „Raums der Freiheit, der Sicherheit und des Rechts“? Tragen die EUStA und die durch ihre Errichtung forcierte Supranationalisierung zu einem neuen Selbstverständnis, aber auch zu einer neuen Außenwahrnehmung der EU bei?
