Fees

Double degree students must pay all fees that are required at their corresponding home university, but they are exempted from tuition fees at the host university. However, different one-time fees are payable depending on the country of the host university.

Exchange to Italy

Students of Saarland University must pay an administration fee "Tassa regionale per il Diritto allo studio" at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore. The fee amounts to 220 EUR.

Exchange to Spain

Students of Saarland University studying at the University of Alicante must pay an issuing fee for the graduation documents available in two forms:

1) Master’s degree diploma (Título de máster universitario): 212.07 EUR;

or 

2) Academic certificate (Certificado académico personal): 27.37 EUR.

Exchange to Saarbrücken

During their stay at Saarland University, students from partner universities must pay for the nationwide student travel ticket and the personal accident, theft and public liability insurance cover. The current fee amounts to 176.40 EUR. The travel ticket will entitle you to a free use of the public transport in all German federal states, excluding long-distance trains and buses.

Financial Support

Students can apply for different scholarship and funding programmes to finance their stay abroad (e.g. Erasmus+, DAAD scholarships, BAföG for abroad studies, etc.).
