Professor Bernd Scherer
Bernd Scherer is Director of Haus der Kulturen der Welt and Honorary Professor at the Institute of European Ethnography at Humboldt-University of Berlin. He has curated many large exhibitions and perannual programmes at HKW such as the Anthropocene project, The New Alphabet, or Schools of Tomorrow. His theoretical work focusses on questions related to aesthetics, language philosophy, semiotics, and international cultural exchanges.
