Prof. Dr. Fabian Hollstein

Due to the appointment of Prof. Dr. Hollstein as Dean of Studies, the course "Advanced Econometrics" will be offered in the summer semester 2025 (and in the summer semester 2026). Unfortunately, the courses "Time-Series Econometrics" and "Asset Pricing", which are usually offered in the summer semester, cannot be offered at present.

The Chair of Quantitative Methods in Economics and Finance offers the Bachelor course "Statistical Programming with R" for students of economics for the wintersemester 2023/24. Note that the class is taking place already in September. Further information can be found on the course page.

The project "Advances in Empirical Asset Pricing" by Prof. Dr. Hollstein joint with Prof. Dr. Marcel Prokopczuk from Leibniz University Hannover will be funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) for two years from 01.10.2025. Prof. Dr. Hollstein's share of the funding is € 176.077.

Prof. Dr. Fabian Hollstein has been ranked on 24th place among the best business economist researchers under the age of 40 and on 66th place among the best business economist researchers of all age groups in the years 2020 to 2024 in German-speaking countries in the new ranking of the magazine WirtschaftsWoche from 13.12.2024 .

The project “Market Jumps: Causes and Investor Reactions” by Prof. Dr. Hollstein will be funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) for three years from 01.11.2024 with a total of € 362,386.
