British Government Houses
This project is concerned with making historiography more 'visible'. This includes 3D models of the Government Houses in Calcutta, Kingston, and Singapore that can be digitally handled by users.
This project is concerned with vizualization of both historical buildings as well as archival resources. It does so by bringing to users XML3D models of British Government Houses that were erected in, e.g. Calcutta, Kingston, Singapore, Cape Town and Sydney.
Please note that this is work-in-progress in the sense that what you currently can access does not as yet demonstrate how our transcultural research is being embedded as content in these models. Once we officially go online, you will be able to click on the coloured buttons to access information about particular aspects of the histories of these Houses as collated by us from authentic sources. So, do watch this space for new developments!
