17th Annual Teachers’ Day
29th of September, 2020
(Please note that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Teachers' Day will not take place on campus this year. We will be hosting the keynote presentation and a series of workshops online. Registration deadline: 15 September 2020)
What’s new in English (language teaching)?
Doing the same thing over and over again (and expecting different results) – to some this is the definition of insanity; to others it is the day-to-day reality of being a teacher. We all know that language teaching pedagogy and the English language itself are continually developing, but we rarely have the time to keep up with these changes, much less to apply new methods in our teaching. At the same time, however, we all want to find ways to help our students to make the most of the language learning opportunities available to them at every level.
Teachers’ Day 2020 will offer a buffet of methodological delicacies with a fine spread of workshops to cater to all tastes.
Topics will include:
- Corpora in English-language teaching
- Creating and using explainer videos in the classroom
- Applying critical thinking skills to teacher training
- New approaches to teaching English literature
- Learning by gaming
As always, you will have the opportunity to exchange ideas with other teachers and experts both from Germany and abroad. We look forward to welcoming you in September!
