Dr. Roger Charlton

Current and former students and staff of the English Department lost one of the most revered members of its family in February of 2021. Dr. Roger Charlton, instructor and advisor to thousands of learners and teachers in the Saarland and beyond, died at the age of 74. We will all miss the warm smile he brought with him on his regular visits to the department, the lunch meetings, the bike rides, and his willingness to help when it came to teaching and any other aspect of our work at the UdS.
