Saarland University collects personal data from participants for the registration process for the event “Research in Europe”. Personal data transmitted to Saarland University as part of the registration process will only be processed for the planning and implementation of the event. The data will not be passed on to third parties. The personal data collected will be used exclusively for event-related and statistical purposes. The data collected here is stored and processed in accordance with data protection laws. The legal basis for the processing described is Section 4 (1) SDSG and Section 3 (1) SDSG in conjunction with Art. 6 (1) lit. Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b) GDPR.
With regard to the processing of your personal data, you have the right to information about the data stored about you, the right to rectification or erasure, the right to restriction of processing and the right to data portability. You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority about the processing of your personal data by the controller (see Art. 3 SDSG in conjunction with Art. 15-21 GDPR).
