In the ProcessChain project, the possibilities and consequences of this technology for monitoring cross-company business processes will be tested in practice. The digitization and networking of all business processes have been stable trends for years, affecting not only intra-company processes, but more recently cross-company processes in particular. The trust of the actors involved creates the basis for the innovation and efficiency of collaboration. Blockchain technology, as the technical basis of the cryptocurrency Bitcoin, opens up a wide range of innovations. In the project applied for, this technology will be used to realize a process-based blockchain for monitoring cross-company business processes. The ProcessChain platform realized in the project enables the cross-company handling of business processes without the use of a central control authority that must be trusted by all partners involved. The considerable innovation potential of the platform will be piloted and evaluated on selected cross-company demonstration processes from various industries such as service management as well as supply chain management.
