Welcome to the research website of the Institute for Medical Microbiology and Hygiene (IMMH) at Saarland University. Our institute is the central diagnostic institution pertaining to infectious diseases caused by bacteria, fungi parasites at Saarland University Medical Center in Homburg. Additionally, our institute is a major partner for regional public health authorities, it hosts the National Reference Center for Clostridioides difficile and an Outpatient Clinic for Travel and Tropical Medicine.
IMMH is interested in all aspects of infectious diseases caused by the above-mentioned microorganisms. On this website, we are delighted to present an overview of our current research projects, which are carried out by a multidisciplinary team. If you have any questions or suggestions about a particular project or would like to collaborate, please feel free to contact the group leader(s) of the individual projects.
