I served as Chair (Course Director) of the Programme Board for the B.Sc. in Applied Computational Linguistics (ACL) at DCU 1997–2001. The B.Sc. in Applied Computational Linguistics was a joint and interdisciplinary degree programme between the School of Computing and the School of Applied Languages and Intercultural Studies, involving one third computer science, one third computational linguistics and one third language and linguistics (including a foreign language: one of German, Spanish or French).
